Abstract
This paper reveals the relationship between edge-Hosoya polynomial and the Hosoya polynomial of catacondensed benzenoid graphs. The result shows that, for a catacondensed benzenoid graph, the computations of the edge-Hosoya polynomial can be reduced to
that of the Hosoya polynomial.
